This mask is a picture of my sister smelling the roses in downtown Chicago. For the mask I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to bring the color back to all of the roses or just the one rose that my sister is obviously smelling. I eventually chose just the one because its simpler and because if you look at it from my perspective the one rose that my sister is smelling seems to make its special even though its the same as the rest of the roses but because she picked that one to smell I had to bring color back to that one. She is in a world of black and white almost gray and there is a red rose standing out that she just has to smell.
Symmetry
Symmetry #1
Symmetry #2
For this symmetry it was sort of hard to get the picture to line up even when I used a different canvas size. This symmetry is my favorite mostly because of the spirals. I know back then and still now people use those hypnotizing black and white machines or pictures to put people into a hypnosis state and this symmetry really reminds me of that. Also there is a person walking at the end of the spiral and to me it almost looks like they are walking into another universe. I also messed with the Brightness/Contrast which really sharpened the picture better than what it was before.
